I was surfing the net, looking up light beer (I’m not much of a drinker, but in the summer, I feel like having a beer once in a while), when one day I ran across a drink called a “Cheleda”(In Mexican it loosely means “Cold One). Apparently, they serve it up at Mexican resorts. When you are basking in the sun, you don’t want to drink anything really heavy. In the U.S. Miller has come up with their own version in a bottle, they are referring to it as “The Chill”. Here in Canada, we don’t carry it, so I thought why not come up with my own. I served it to my friend Anne, who really liked it, she said, “That it is more like a cocktail, than a beer”. Anne sure does know her drinks. Believe me when I say, that Anne is an authority on cocktails.
1 bottle Corona (probably any Mexican or Brazilian beer will do)
Dip the rim of your glass in lime juice and dip it in coarse salt
Squeeze the rest of the wedge of lime into your glass
Fill glass with ice cubes, and beer
Optional (a dash of tabasco and worcestershire, personally I leave it out)
Decorate rim with fresh lime wedge
Now sit back and enjoy!
